At Orde, you have complete ownership of your personal data. You can delete your cloud account and all associated backup records anytime through two available options:
Option 1: Directly from the App (Recommended & Instant)
If you currently have the app installed on your smartphone:
- Open the Orde application.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Tap on Cloud Backup (or Account).
- Scroll down to the bottom to access your account actions:
- Sign out: Disconnects your Google or Apple account from this device. Local shift data remains on the device.
- Delete account: Permanently erases your cloud account and all synchronized data.
- Tap Delete account and confirm the prompt. For security, the app will ask you to quickly re-authenticate with Google or Apple before proceeding.
Immediate result: The app immediately and permanently deletes your cloud backup snapshot (users/{uid}/backup/current) and all public share links (shares/{token}) in Firestore before deleting your user record in Firebase Authentication. The app continues working in anonymous local mode on your device.
Option 2: Email Request
If you uninstalled the app or no longer have access to your device, you can request account deletion by emailing our support desk:
📧 Email: hello@hlrstudio.dev
Please include:
- Subject line:
Delete Orde Account - The email address tied to the Google Account or Apple ID you used to sign into Orde.
Processing timeline: We will process and execute your deletion request within 30 calendar days (in compliance with Google Play Developer policies and GDPR). You will receive an email confirmation once finished.
Delete shared links without deleting your account
If you only want to remove a shared calendar, open Settings → Sharing → Share my schedule in Orde, then choose Stop sharing for each active link. Orde removes that link's shared calendar record from Cloud Firestore and permanently revokes its token. This does not delete your local schedule or your separate cloud backup. If your device is offline, Orde queues the removal and retries it when the device reconnects.
What Data is Permanently Deleted?
- User credentials: Your Firebase Authentication record (UID and associated email address).
- Cloud backup: Your encrypted shift schedule database snapshot stored in Firestore.
- Shared calendars: All active public web tokens generated under your account are deleted and revoked.
What If You Never Signed In?
If you used Orde without signing into Google or Apple, your shift data was stored solely on your physical device and never existed on our servers. To erase it, simply uninstall the app or clear app storage in your device settings.
